CinemaFunk is a project by me, Aaron Weiss. I graduated University of Central Florida in 2008 with a Major in Cinema Studies and a Minor in Creative Writing. Very shortly after graduating I found myself, like millions of other Americans in the summer of 2008 with little hope of finding a dream job during the Great Recession. My first job I found myself as a copywriter for an online furniture retailer, where I learned the ropes on how to run a successful website using Search Engine Optimization (SEO).
While I learned about SEO and how to run a website, I found myself with a void missing from my life, it was watching and discussing cinema. CinemaFunk is designed to be a place for me and guest contributors to talk and discuss films, all films. The films, directors, issues, styles; nothing is off-limits at CinemaFunk.
Why YouTube Videos?
Yes, at CinemaFunk we also discuss videos that can be found on YouTube, Viddler, Vimeo, and pretty much any easily accessible video content that has cinematic importance. As I've discussed in Film - A 21st Century Misnomer, cinema is growing from the big screen and television to our personal computers and mobile phones and devices.
Why CinemaFunk?
CinemaFunk is just a catchy name I thought of and that was available for domain registration.
