This past Sunday, I caught a clip of A Prairie Home Companion. Garrison Keeler was telling a story about a young man studied film studies in college. After college he was far too timid to make his own film because he was terrified that he’d make something atrocious. His fear was instilled in him because in film studies, you’re taught the classics. You’re shown the films that changed history and our perceptions of the world.
