Nearly one hour of lost footage from the silent sci-fi classic Metropolis will be streamed live on the 12th at 2:40 PM EST. Apparently, you can view it here. This hour of footage previously thought lost was discovered in a film archive in Buenos Aries, and may finally complete the original lengthy version of the film. Metropolis was one of the largest bombs in the silent era, yet has resonated with audiences since. The film was shortened by nearly one hour when it hit America. It was the Matrix of its time. Using incredible imagery, even for its time, Metropolis has been restored multiple times as additional footage has been found.
